The goal of the Yellow Belt training is to give students the necessary tools required to become a valuable contributor to an organization’s larger goals and objectives.
Examine:
- Process Variables Mapping
- C&E Matrix
- Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA)
- Waste identification
- Methods to reduce waste
- Introduction to statistics and graphical analysis
Course Objectives
Gain a broader picture and higher understanding of daily tasks that convert into enhanced quality, decreased waste, and better cycle times. Learn to contribute to an organization by playing a supportive role in the organization’s larger Six Sigma Process. These employees will understand the concepts used to collect critical information on processes and support other Yellow Belts in gaining knowledge and experience in the problem-solving processes. Everyone’s understanding of the process is an integral part of the improvement methodology. Yellow Belts have the job of identifying and controlling possible monetary loss in an area of the company and report information to Green Belts and Black Belts within the organization.
Note: Yellow Belt is not a prerequisite for Green Belt. Yellow Belts participate as project team members, reviewing the process improvements that support the project. Green Belts will contribute more with the data collection and analysis for the Black Belt projects.
